Natraj Gujran is an accomplished software engineer and architect with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He is currently the CEO and founder of Niche Soft Inc., a consulting company that specializes in application development outsourcing. Natraj is an expert in DVR/PVR, travel, music, and network management, and has successfully completed projects for clients such as Cisco Systems, Roblox, Outdu, and Unbent Media. At Cisco Systems, Natraj and his team are creating a sizing tool that allows customers to size their applications such as SAP/Oracle on Cisco Rack & Blade servers. He is responsible for architecture, design, team management, project management, development, and test automation, using technologies such as Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring-security, Spring-Webflow, Dojo, and Selenium-Webdriver. At Roblox, Natraj and his team have created 300+ test cases to test the various features on their gaming website. He is responsible for test automation and code review, using technologies such as C#, Selenium-Webdriver, and XPath. At Outdu, Natraj and his team analyzed their requirements for creating a next-generation off-line ad platform and came up with a design, UML model, and framework recommendations. He is responsible for analysis, design, and architecture evaluation, using technologies such as UML, Java, and Spring Framework. At Unbent Media, Natraj and his team built a small loan processing/forwarding system where customers can apply for a loan using both web or the phone. He is responsible for analysis, design, coding, creating call trees at Callfire, and deployment, using technologies such as Groovy/Grails and Quartz. Natraj has also worked as a consultant for TiVo, where he supported other cable providers to offer TiVo to consumers. He was responsible for writing the specification and implementing a webservice that allows consumers to schedule recordings on their DVRs from the web, maintaining the server layer which provides XML APIs to access TiVo services, and helping staff outsourced teams, providing technical help to vendor teams. Natraj holds an MS in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a BE in Electronics Engineering from R V College of Engineering, Bangalore University.
