Naval Barthwal is a senior software engineer with over 10 years of experience in developing robust, scalable, and delightful Android applications. Currently working at American Express as a Senior Engineer, he is responsible for integrating and managing Mezi messaging module into Ask Amex mobile source code, revamping checkout screens while integrating pay with points feature, and writing test cases for flight hotels and dining use cases to avoid mistakes during refactoring sessions. Additionally, he is currently working on Alpha App, a mix of crashlytics, play store, and invision, which will help leadership to develop prototype features quicker and receive feedback from other employees to pace up decision-making progress. Prior to joining American Express, Naval worked as a Software Engineer at Mezi, where he was part of the team developing the Android side of the product and deploying it for other white-label partner variants. He also developed the User Preferences feature and the Discover feature, enabling users to search and choose their travel bookings. As a Senior Software Engineer at Talentica, Naval developed and delivered the Limetray app within 90 days, developed micro-app inside Apps Daily for Culture Machine, developed the SaffronArt app, providing an online platform to bid and book paintings and other artifacts for auction, and developed the User Experior SDK as an analytics tool to record screens and collect touch events to show how a user navigates through and report bugs and crashes. Naval holds a Bachelor's of Technology in Computer Software and Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology and has completed his intermediate and high school education in Computer Science from Dr. Virendra Swarup Education Center and St. Thomas School, Kanpur, respectively. He is proficient in various technologies, including Android, Flask, Python, Search, SQL, RabbitMQ, and GCP, and has a concise knowledge of software engineering.
