Naval Tharun is a seasoned XR Developer with over 6 years of experience in product development. His expertise ranges from building complete technology stacks for startups to developing Computer Vision systems for Underwater Vehicles. He has a proven track record of collaborating with international cross-functional teams and leading diverse individuals through product development from ideation to launch. Currently, Naval is working as an XR developer at a stealth startup. He is responsible for developing extended reality applications and creating immersive experiences for users. Prior to this, he worked as a Lead Product Engineer (L4) at udaan, where he managed product engineering for Core Buyer Experience (Search to Transaction) in Udaan's flagship B2B app. He facilitated coordination and planning for a 10-member tech team with other stakeholders (business, design, data science) across all categories in Udaan. He also developed end-to-end Gamification framework to render probability-based game experience (Spin the wheel, Slot Machine, etc.), helped develop personalized product discovery to aid buyer conversion, and created a multi-intent detection system in Solr, leveraging SolrTextTagger (Improved search conversion by ~20%). Naval is also a Technical Co-founder of tylt cars, where he architected and developed the complete tech infrastructure of a P2P car subscription startup. He built a web application made with React (tylt.co.in), a partner app for lessors, made using Flutter (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tiltshift.tiltpartner), and a car inspection app for internal use, made with React Native (expo.io/@navaltharun/dashAgent). He also set up cloud infrastructure hosted on GCP with Firebase. Naval holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree from IIT, where he studied from 2012 to 2016.
