Navaneeth Suresh is a final year undergraduate student at IIT Kharagpur with a passion for software development and solving computer vision problems using deep learning. He is driven by the desire to reduce human efforts using code and has worked on open source projects in the past. Navaneeth has a track record of contributing to the open source community and is always looking forward to working with interesting communities around them. As an Advisor at Kharagpur Open Source Society, Navaneeth is responsible for providing guidance and mentoring to the organization. He has previously served as the Executive Head of the society, where he organized Kharagpur Winter of Code (KWoC), a 1 month-long event for open-source development similar to GSoC which had 3000+ registrations across 75+ colleges and had increased the GSoC selections 4 times in three years from IIT Kharagpur. Navaneeth has also been a Core Team Member of the society, where he curated the contents and taught in interactive Python and Git/GitHub workshops and conducted Ubuntu install fest, GSoC introductory seminar and the Open Source summit 2018 with 700+ attendees. Navaneeth's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree (B Tech) and Master's degree (M Tech) in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is proficient in Software Engineering, Python, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Research Scientist. Navaneeth has relevant experience of 3.12 years in the field of software development.
