Naveen Ajjampur is a seasoned software engineering professional with over 25 years of experience in delivering high-quality products in various domains such as identity and access management, network management systems, data protection, and location services. He is known for building high-performing teams that are dedicated to customer delight. Currently, Naveen is the Engineering Director - Identity Engineering at Amex, where he established the Identity engineering team in Bangalore from scratch. He groomed the team to own and deliver Authentication and Authorization microservices as part of building Identity platform for Amex Technology. Naveen also coached engineering managers, project managers, and engineers to adopt scaled agile practices to coherently work with Product Management, SRE team, and peer engineering teams for smooth execution of DevOps model. He played a vital role in establishing and expanding IT Risk and Information security teams at Bangalore. Additionally, he leads the Learning & Development workstream and hosts/sponsors several training and hackathon events. Prior to Amex, Naveen worked at Cisco as an Engineering Manager II, where he led the team in building a unified Network Management System managing wired and wireless systems. He was instrumental in transforming the quality of NMS product resulting in drastic improvement of the overall CSAT score in a short span. He also worked at Autonomy, an HP company, as a Manager, QA, where he was responsible for the Iron Mountain Digital division. Naveen has a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication from B.I.E.T. He has a diverse tech stack that includes SRE, product management, microservices, DevOps, senior software engineering, and QA. Naveen is a results-driven leader with a passion for building high-performing teams and delivering quality products.
