Naveen Upadhayay is a technology leader with 17 years of experience in various domains including eCommerce, edTech, Investment Banking, and ERP. He has extensive experience in understanding business requirements and designing and creating systems from scratch. Naveen has run product tech organizations for 0-1, 1-100, and 100-1000 businesses with millions of dollars in revenue. Currently, Naveen is the Chief Technology Officer at eyewa. In his previous role as President of Engineering at byju's, he was responsible for the growth of WhitehatJr, Byjus' future school globally, Tynker integration, and Epic, which is a part of a 22 billion US dollar group. Naveen has also served as the CTO and CPO at Boutiqaat, a major unicorn in the MENA region. He headed the engineering and product for Boutiqaat.com and ran their Gurgaon and Kuwait tech teams of 100+ engineers/product. He scaled the Magento platform and made it 200x faster in record time, built a real-time ingestion layer using Apache Storm, HBase, and related technologies to sync prices, inventory, etc. in real-time. He increased CTR, conversion, and overall revenue by building highly advanced suggestions/search and product ranking algorithms. Naveen also rewrote the entire cart and checkout flow for 5000 orders per minute scale, reduced AWS infra cost by 80%, optimized and re-architected systems, and saved more than a million dollars in the process. He is currently revamping the entire tech platform, leading to a multi-fold increase in revenue and profits for the company. Naveen's educational background includes a B.Tech in Information Technology from MANIT, a Cassandra Developer Certification from O'Reilly School of Technology, and a Web Development Course from Udacity.
