Naveen Upadhyay is a seasoned technology leader with 18 years of experience in eCommerce, edTech, Investment Banking, and ERP domains. As a tech advisor and mentor, he has extensive experience in understanding business requirements, designing and creating systems from scratch, and running product tech organizations for businesses with revenue ranging from 0-1, 1-100, and 100-1000 million dollars. Currently, Naveen is the Chief Technology Officer at eyewa, where he is responsible for leading the technology team and driving innovation. Prior to this, he served as the President of Engineering at Byju's, where he was responsible for the growth of Byju's math, WhitehatJr, Byjus'future school globally, Tynker integration, and Epic. Before joining Byju's, Naveen was the CTO and CPO at Boutiqaat, an influencer/celebrity-driven vertical eCommerce player and major unicorn in the MENA region. At Boutiqaat, he led the engineering and product teams, scaling the Magento platform and making it 200x faster in record time. He also built a real-time ingestion layer using Apache storm, HBase, and related technologies to sync price, inventory, etc. in real-time. Naveen increased CTR, conversion, and overall revenue by building highly advanced suggestions/search and product ranking algorithms. He also revamped the entire tech platform, leading to a multi-fold increase in revenue and profits for the company. Naveen's educational background includes a B.Tech in Information Technology from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology and certifications in Cassandra Development and Web Development.
