Navya Kotian is a graduate student at the University at Buffalo, School of Management, State University of New York, set to graduate with a Master's in Management Information Systems degree in June 2022. With a strong inclination towards building SQL queries, Navya has discovered the world of remittances and how it works. She has worked on products that serviced banks from Bangladesh, Bahrain, and India, and witnessed how agile actually works. Navya enjoys writing Java functions and has gained logistical understanding of the business flow of payments made through POS machines. Navya's experience also includes working as a programmer at Bitwise, where she received training from an incredibly talented team, project lead, and project manager. She analyzed and resolved 50% of production issues of the Tokenization Project working on Linux and SQL commands along with monitoring various database sync processes. Navya's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai, completed in 2018, and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York, which she is set to complete in December 2022. Navya is passionate about learning and acquiring new skills. She believes that MIS has helped her build the bridge between technology and management and pave a path towards a data-oriented career. Navya is also interested in minimalism and spirituality, which she balances with her love for technology and management. Navya enjoys writing and staying organized and loves planners. Currently, Navya works as a Java Developer at Fable Fintech, where she continues to build her skills in Java, SQL, Tokenization, and Parts-of-speech. Navya is nearing her goals, both professional and personal, and feels grateful to be part of the tech industry every day.
