Nayeem Zen is a seasoned technologist with over 9 years of experience in building scalable and resilient fintech infrastructure. He is currently the Co-founder and CTO of Pluto, a fintech startup that aims to build modern financial rails for the underserved. Before Pluto, Nayeem worked with some of the biggest names in the tech industry, including Shopify, Uber, Square, and Elemy. At Elemy, he served as the Principal Software Engineer, where he was responsible for architecting and leading the technical foundation of the core platform. He also played a pivotal role in building and nurturing the engineering team and culture at Elemy. As a Staff Software Engineer at Shopify, Nayeem was involved in stream processing and query engines. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, where he honed his skills in software engineering and infrastructure. Nayeem's expertise lies in building complex distributed financial systems and solving challenging problems in the fintech space. He is well-versed in Ruby and has extensive experience as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer.
