Nedved Yang is the Head of Digital Technology at AIA Singapore, the largest independent publicly listed pan-Asian life insurance group. With over 17 years of relevant experience in the tech industry, Nedved is a highly skilled and talented professional who is passionate about digital transformation and modernization. Nedved is currently leading an exciting journey of agile transformation and tech modernization at AIA Singapore. His team is working on a wide range of cutting-edge technologies such as ReactJS/Native/XP, Domain-Driven Design, event-driven, microservices, serverless, CI/CD, TDD, DevOps, Nodejs, Agile, and Open source. Nedved is also actively hiring talents in SG, Batam, and Malaysia who share the same values and are interested in working with his team. Prior to joining AIA Singapore, Nedved worked as the Head of Tech Lab at the Dairy Farm Group, a leading pan-Asian retailer. Here, he led the e-grocery, in-store innovation, tech modernization, and big data initiatives. He was also the Group Tech Innovation Lead at Global Fashion Group, the world's leading online fashion destination for emerging markets. In this role, he created exciting e-commerce and fashion platforms on the cloud. Nedved holds a Ph.D. in Software Engineering from Nanyang Technological University. He has a strong tech stack, including CI/CD, Microservices, DevOps, Big Data, Javascript, NodeJS, ReactJS, Java, AWS, Selenium, Spark, Apache Airflow, Amazon Athena, test, and Tensorflow. Nedved is an advocate of engineering practices such as Scrum, InnerSource, TDD, BDD, Feature Toggle, Automate Testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and Event-storming. He is also an expert in architecture and framework such as DDD (Domain Driven Design), Serverless, microservice, event-driven, CORS, and openTracing.
