Neeraj Surana is an experienced Software Engineer with expertise in Web, UI, Frontend, Search, and Mobile development. He is currently working as an Intern at Symantec where he developed the Symantec App for both Windows 8 Phone and Windows 8 Tablet. The app is being used by major companies like eBay for 2-step verification. Prior to Symantec, Neeraj worked as a Software Engineer(UI Developer) at fab.com. He was a member of a 10-member team that enhanced, developed, and maintained the entire frontend of the business, both consumer-facing and admin sections. He was also part of the team responsible for creating the mobile web-views. Neeraj played a key role in getting rich snippets to show up in Google search results using microdata (Schema.org and Data-Vocabulary) for Breadcrumbs, product details, price details and discounts, reviews and ratings. He also worked on optimizing all the product listing pages, reducing page load time and memory footprint. Neeraj's past experience also includes working as a Software Developer at Housing. Here, he developed the "Slice View" Tool, which is a virtual tour to a property. People can check out flat configurations and book the flat of their choice online. Neeraj holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani.
