Nicholas Pettinella is a highly experienced Consulting CFO with over 30 years of experience serving both public and private companies. He began his career as a CPA with PwC in Boston and has since developed a reputation as a trusted financial professional with expertise in financial management, financial reporting, and financial processes. Currently serving as the Consulting CFO at Geezeo, Inc., Nicholas is responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting, administrative processes, coordinating services with outside legal and auditing professionals, and supporting equity and short term financing requirements of the Company. He has also prepared for and participated in all Board meetings and led the effort to conduct the company's first successful independent audit as well as managed the completion of three subsequent annual independent audits. Prior to his current role, Nicholas served as the Consulting CFO at Incentive Targeting, Inc., which was later acquired by Google, Inc. In this role, he participated in raising $2.5 million of equity capital and was responsible for creating the company's 5-yr. financial projections, managing cash flow activities, maintaining and coordinating banking relations, financial reporting and analysis, financial forecasting, and preparing for and participating in all Board meetings. He also led the effort to source and recommend the selection of an independent CPA firm to conduct the company's first successful audit and assisted with the integration of the company with Google after its acquisition. Nicholas has also served as the Consulting CFO at Aware Technologies, a developer of technology-based solutions to promote fitness and wellness. In this role, he was responsible for managing financial and administrative activities including supporting the financing requirements of the company, financial reporting, financial projections, and coordinating activity with outside legal and accounting firms. Nicholas holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the CPA Preparation Program and has a strong tech stack background in mobile, integration, and web. With nearly 40 years of relevant experience, he is a hands-on trusted professional with a focus on mergers/acquisitions, administrative management, and consulting CFO services to early-stage companies.
