In his previous role as Technical Operations Manager at appdirect, Nick worked as part of the Operations team to improve stability and increase redundancy to prevent downtime and data loss. He also created and managed the company's cloud infrastructure on Amazon using Terraform, and he configured and administered servers with Chef. Nick's expertise in these areas allowed the company to spin up new environments faster, make changes quickly and easily, ensure that all environments were the same, and recover quickly when something failed. He also worked as a Technical Operations Manager at Standing Cloud, where he helped automate the company's development environment, making it easier to onboard new team members. Nick earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science with a Minor in Economics and Business from the Colorado School of Mines. He has over 15 years of relevant experience in DevOps, SQL, infra, and Terraform. Nick is a highly skilled engineer with a passion for finding innovative solutions that do more with less.
