Nick Leonard is a highly experienced data engineering professional with over 12 years of experience in architecting, building, implementing, and supporting technical software products. He has a strong foundation in embedded software engineering and is focused on building data-driven, technical products that empower users. Currently, Nick is working with Meetup as a Data Engineering professional. In the past, Nick has worked with Lifion as an ETL Lead - Solutions Architect & Technical Product Manager. Here, he was responsible for building the Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Interactive Compute (IC) products for the Lifion Developer Platform. The ETL product allowed technical users/developers to build jobs that transform and normalize data while moving it into and out-of the Lifion Platform. The IC product allowed those same users to design smaller, transformation-heavy units that connect the web application together by responding to user interactions in a synchronous fashion. Nick has also worked with Uptake as a Data Operations professional, where he managed a team of engineers and analysts responsible for quality, availability, and timeliness of all production data across all projects at Uptake. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, which he completed in 2008. He has a strong technical skill set that includes Data Engineering, ETL, product management, Senior Software Engineering, and Web development.
