Nihar Sawant is a seasoned Product Manager with over a decade of experience in building long-lasting and sustainable software products. Currently, he is the Product Manager for Dialpad Meetings, where he is responsible for improving the Developer Experience for consumers, starting new products, and improving the productivity and efficiency of various teams. With his strengths in product strategy, user experience, project management, team management, and communication, he works closely with stakeholders to ensure the long-term vision of the product team. Prior to his current role, Nihar was the Head of Products at FusionCharts, where he formalized a product team of four PMs and released two new products, taking them to product-market fit. He also strategized the company's vision with stakeholders to take the company from a charting library to a Business Intelligence (BI) library for developers. Before that, he was a Product Manager at Burgundy Box, where he led the eCommerce website and apps and grew them with CRO and customer acquisition. He was also responsible for building the internal Kanban based Point of Sale (POS) system with support for online subscriptions, which led to an increase in the efficiency of the Customer Service and Logistics team. Nihar started his career as a Software Engineer and moved to a full-time product role around 6-7 years back. He has built products in food-tech, CAD, social media, and data viz. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai. Nihar's TechStack includes product management, software engineering, and parts-of-speech.
