She works on taking down ads that have violating content and plays a critical role in maximizing the accuracy and scale of decisions using machine learning models. Prior to Facebook, Niharika worked as a Senior Software Engineer (Big Data) at Visa, where she was part of the Data Product Development team and worked on Big Data using Spark and Scala in the Segmentation Platform team. She also worked on predicting the right customers to target based on their behavior and other attributes. Niharika has also worked as a Software Engineer at Works Applications Co., Ltd., where she was part of the Magic Core (backend) team working on smart and automatic mapping of keywords with business targets. She worked on Named Entity Recognition for information extraction and text classification in the Enterprise Resource Planning system and developed an algorithm for Named Entity Recognition using Conditional Random Fields with feature engineering. Niharika holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from IIIT Delhi and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Science from BIT. She also completed her 12th grade in PCM with Computers from Hartmann College.
