Nikhil Mahendran is a highly skilled software engineer with over 4 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working at Amazon as a Software Engineer, where he is involved in developing and maintaining backend systems using a wide range of technologies such as Java, MySQL, AWS, RabbitMQ, Docker, and more. Prior to Amazon, Nikhil worked as an Engineering Consultant at Atom EI, where he helped with the migration of the backend involved in moving from freemium to a premium model. He also worked at Google as a Software Engineer, where he was the primary developer for the quality tool that focused on ticket resolution quality check flow using Java and Spanner. In addition, he led and successfully delivered the root cause analysis feature that reduced the average agent review time of a case by 40 percent using Java. Nikhil also held ownership of ML pipelines that helped to decrease HC for many business orgs using ETL pipeline and ML binary classifiers. He proactively pitched in product design decisions and spoke out his ideas, most of which were encouraged and accepted by the team. Nikhil has a strong educational background, having completed his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Amrita University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington, which he is expected to complete in December 2022.
