Nikhil is a hardworking and passionate Senior Android Developer at Sling TV with a keen interest in learning new technologies. Nikhil has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he gained expertise in Android, AWS, Software Engineering, Research Science, and Mobile development. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Engineering from NMIMS University. Nikhil's past experience includes working as a Software Developer Intern at International Thermodyne, where he developed a receiver using Raspberry Pi for BLE beacons and LORA sx1276 chip. He also implemented firmware code for the LORA chip on Pi and worked on an algorithm for triangulating transmitters using RSSI values. Additionally, he worked on Android apps that gamify the data received for points and see the company beacons around. As a Research Assistant at NMIMS University, Nikhil worked in the field of Data Mining and Machine Learning, optimizing and improving existing algorithms for IDS under Prof. Shubha Puthran. He proposed a method that significantly improved the results of detecting Probe, R2L, and U2R attacks by 60-80%. He also worked on KDD Cup dataset, NSL dataset, and decision tree classification algorithms.
