Nikhil Nakhate is a seasoned Senior Perception Algorithm Engineer with over 7 years of experience in the field of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning. He is currently working at Lucid Motors, where he is developing algorithms for autonomous driving. Nikhil has a strong background in 3D object detection, Lane detection, and multi-task deep learning. Prior to Lucid Motors, Nikhil worked at Nourish Technology Inc. as a Robotics Software Engineer, where he developed Convolutional Neural Networks for anomaly detection and worked on validation and failure recovery of the robotic arm in a distributed robotic system. He also worked on a simulator project using Unity/Gazebo using C#/C++. Before that, he worked at Bloomberg LP as a Software Engineer, Distributed Analytics, where he worked on a distributed cross-asset analytics platform and optimized graph construction and execution for data retrieval and processing. Nikhil holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Calicut. He is well-versed in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Object Detection, and Neural Networks.
