Nikita Bhagatkar is a highly skilled software engineer with over 4 years of experience in the industry. Currently working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Nikita has previously worked with Cisco as a Software Engineer 2. She has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Nikita's primary programming languages are C/C++ and XML. She has worked on multiple protocols such as SPAN, STP, PTP, etc. and has experience in developing functionalities exposed by middleware that enables remote configuration of switches using RESTful API. During her research at IIT Kanpur, Nikita worked on a scalable and distributed architecture for live video streaming in a peer-to-peer system. This project provided her with exposure to various distributed architectures and challenges with live media streaming. She used Python, PyQt4, SQLite database, and FFmpeg library during the development of the project. Nikita's education background includes a Master of Technology degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from Nagpur University.
