Nikita Jain is an accomplished Engineering Manager with over 6 years of experience in the field of software engineering. Currently, she is working at fabfitfun as an Engineering Manager, Payments & Logistics, where she manages a team responsible for billing over 1 million users and preparing their orders for fulfillment. She is also responsible for strategizing and planning the team's roadmap with the product team and setting success and monitoring metrics for every project and deliverables. Nikita has a proven track record of leading initiatives to improve accuracy and performance. She has successfully worked with finance and data teams to improve revenue reporting by normalizing payments and order-related tables and adding indices to improve performance. She has also added new data points such as invoice detail to order detail mapping and order detail to shipment detail mapping to have a clean invoice to shipment reporting. In her previous role as a Tech Lead, Payments & Logistics at fabfitfun, Nikita designed and implemented the migration of a PHP monolithic system to a Java 8 based microservices system using Dropwizard framework. She created dedicated MySQL databases for each microservice and built RESTFUL APIs to provide access to the data. She also led the migration of the billing platform from a single processor PHP-based system to a scalable system using AWS SQS and worker models. Nikita has a Master's Degree in Information Technology- Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from DTU. Her technical skills include AWS, PHP, Microservices, MySQL, Java, Integration, Software Engineering, Javascript, Frontend, Backend, and Web. She has a passion for analyzing and encoding software requirements by converting workflow information into current software development languages and programs.
