Nikolai Korsun is an Algorithm/Software Architect in the medical device industry with over 34 years of relevant experience. He has a strong track record of success in firmware development for FDA approved Class II and Class III medical devices. He is an IBHRE certified cardiac device specialist with expertise in System Engineering, Architecture, Research, Firmware/Desktop software development, and testing for medical devices such as defibrillators, ICD, and pacemakers. Nikolai is a hands-on manager and team leader with a deep understanding of complex medical system development conforming to FDA and ISO engineering standards. He has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of National Academy of Science of Ukraine and an MSc in Biophysics & Radiophysics from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National State University, Ukraine. Nikolai has technical expertise in Data Acquisition, Digital Signal Processing, Image Processing, Time Series Analysis, Statistics, Pattern Recognition, Inverse Solution, Mathematical Modeling, Clinical Cardiac Pacing and Defibrillation, Arrhythmia detection, Theoretical Electrocardiology, and Electrophysiology.
