Nilansh Rajput is a Senior Data Scientist at Tide, with a passion for solving new and challenging problems using Machine Learning. He enjoys experimenting with the latest technologies in the field and contributing to open-source projects. Nilansh has experience in MLops, NLP, Deep Learning, Privacy-Preserving Machine learning, Federated Learning, Differential Privacy, Cryptography, and is an active contributor to open-source projects. In his current role at Tide, Nilansh works in the Credit Decisioning team, where he has optimized the spark cluster usage during materialization of features in Tecton, reducing the time and cost of feature materialization significantly. He also created an MVP model and feature monitoring system to detect deteriorating model performance and feature drift using open-source libraries. Nilansh has been educating his team on the best practices for using Databricks, Spark cluster optimization, and other tools. Nilansh has contributed to the development of an internal Credit Decisioning engine based on a random forest survival ML model, which decides eligibility and terms for loans. He has used technologies such as Scikit-survival, PySpark, MLflow, Databricks, Hyperopt, Tecton, and Snowflake to operationalize and contribute to the development of the engine. The engine provides a daily proxy of default probabilities during the loan repayment period for assessing loan eligibility, leading to an increase in credit revenue and eligible companies and a reduction in loss rate. Nilansh has also scaled the Balance forecasting engine, increasing the availability of cash flow insights to 50x more members, using technologies such as Koalas, Spark, Fbprophet, MLflow, Databricks, and Snowflake. He has developed several rule-based eligibility models for various internal and partner cash flow products, using technologies such as dbt, Snowflake, and SQL. Nilansh holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar. He has relevant experience of 1.86 years and possesses skills such as Data Science, Research Science, ML, Databricks, Snowflake, AI, Spark, Deep Learning, NLP, SQL, Random Forest, and Scikit.
