Nilesh Balakrishnan is an experienced Associate Vice President at WaterBridge Ventures with a passion for connecting with individuals who are working on meaningful problems. With over 8 years of relevant experience, Nilesh has a proven track record of success in the investment industry. Currently, Nilesh is responsible for managing investments in a variety of sectors, including Enterprise SaaS, ClimateTech, EdTech, and Mobility. Some of the notable companies he has invested in include Atlan, CityMall, Nymble, Chalo, and Curious Jr. Prior to his current role, Nilesh worked as an Associate at WaterBridge Ventures and as a Corporate Development Manager at Soroco, a rapidly growing AI/ML powered Software Automation startup. During his time at Soroco, Nilesh worked closely with the Founder & CEO across multiple business roles, including strategy, sales, operations, hiring, and investor relations. Nilesh's educational background includes a Master's degree in Management from Duke University, where he graduated in 2016, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Industrial Engineering (Financial Eng.) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he graduated in 2013. In addition to his impressive work experience and education, Nilesh also possesses a strong understanding of AI and ML. His technical expertise includes AI and ML, which he uses to identify and evaluate investment opportunities.
