Nilesh Satpute is a highly accomplished entrepreneur and technology consultant with over 15 years of experience in cloud computing, analytics, and mobility. He is the CEO and founder of Applied Cloud Computing (ACC), a leading provider of cloud-based solutions to India's largest banks, NBFCs, media houses, and stock exchanges. Nilesh began his career as a software engineer at Hexaware, where he worked in their PeopleSoft practice. He then moved to the USA for an onsite assignment where he worked with clients like Citi Bank and Netsuite, gaining his first exposure to cloud computing. After working at IBM, he pursued an MBA in Marketing from JBIMS and started his first company, JBDON.com, focusing on e-learning for MBA aspirants and students. Nilesh's experience at Wipro Technology was instrumental in setting up the cloud practice, which today is called Integrated Cloud Group. He was the first person from Wipro to do end-to-end AWS implementations and played a key role in setting up the Cloud Centre of Excellence. He then moved to London for AWS implementation for clients like Thames Water and Vodafone, which gave him the confidence to start his second company, Applied Cloud Computing (ACC). Today, ACC has over 250 engineers and 100+ clients, making it one of the leading cloud-based solutions providers in India. Nilesh is also a visiting faculty for Big Data and Analytics at Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay since 2016 and at IIM Sirmaur since 2018. Nilesh's technical expertise includes AWS, Big Data, and software engineering.
