Nimish Singhal is a Software Engineer III at Google with over 5 years of relevant experience in the industry. He has a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Manipal Institute of Technology. Nimish's journey in the tech industry started during his college days when he got introduced to programming and fell in love with it. He got accepted as a Research Assistant by a premier institute that earlier rejected his college application. Nimish has worked with several big tech companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Shopify. At Amazon, Nimish worked as a Software Development Intern and later got converted to a full-time job offer. He learned several skills like system design, distributed systems, end-to-end software development lifecycle and got an opportunity to wear multiple hats from customer, product manager perspective to devops perspective. Nimish also got customer-facing projects that are currently being used by millions of Amazon customers. It gave him a boost to his professional career and made him feel empowered. Nimish's love for volunteering for good causes led him to detention in a course due to attendance shortage. Nevertheless, he decided to make up for it by working much harder and ended up getting an internship as a Software Development Intern at Amazon. He is passionate about mentoring kids with dreams to make it big as it reminds him of that boy held as a hostage and dreaming to escape for a better future. Nimish's current role as a Developer at Shopify is where he has finally found his chair. He develops Facebook onsite checkout onboarding experience for merchants that let their buyers checkout natively on their Facebook shops. Nimish also designs and develops localized featured app collections on Shopify app store that empowers international commerce teams from China, Japan, Brazil, India, etc. to feature collections that cater to their specific market. Apart from his professional career, Nimish loves board gaming, reading, travel, and meeting people from different backgrounds. His tech stack includes Software Engineering, Product Management, Research Science, DevOps, Test, AWS, Python, Kubernetes, Javascript, MySQL, Azure, Integration, Web, Java, and Android.
