Nimrod Wandera is a highly skilled software engineer with over 11 years of relevant experience. Currently working at Instana, he specializes in designing and maintaining highly scaled and highly available systems that monitor other software systems in near-realtime. Previously, he worked as a Senior Software Developer at ThoughtWorks for six years, where he designed and created a wide range of applications for clients in various domains, including e-commerce, logistics, transportation, finance, social and operations research, and public health. He is proficient in Elixir, Python, JavaScript, Java, and comfortable with Ruby and C#. He has extensive experience working with GCP, AWS, and Kubernetes, among many other tools/platforms. Nimrod's past experiences include working as a Software Development intern at Vastech Uganda Limited, where he worked on an ID Card application in C# that supported webcams with Direct Show driver technology. He also worked on sales data analysis for the company and established seasonality in data. As a Freelance Software Developer, he expanded his knowledge of C#, Java, and PHP. He wrote a university timetabling application using C#, which used Mathematical optimization (using a BIP and Balas Additive Algorithm) to generate optimal timetables. Nimrod holds a Bachelor's degree in Statistics (Computing) from Makerere University and has completed his Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education from St. Henry's College Kitovu. He has also completed his Uganda Certificate of Education from St. Henry's College Kitovu and his Uganda Primary Leaving Examinations from Lwagula Memorial Primary School. Nimrod's tech stack includes Software Engineer, AWS, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Javascript, Research Scientist, Microservices, GCP, Integration, Mobile, Web, Infra, Python, Ruby, and Java. He is a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. He is always eager to learn and grow in his career.
