Nipun Virmani is an accomplished entrepreneur with a strong background in technology and data. He has a proven track record of building successful businesses from the ground up, launching new products and services, and leading teams to achieve outstanding results. With over 15 years of relevant experience, Nipun has exceptional skills in architecture, analysis, development, and fixing trading systems. He is a focused and driven team player who has built and managed teams, run PnL, and taken ideas from zero to one in terms of people, processes, and technology. He is not afraid to dive into the trenches when needed and has sat at construction sites with contractors to figure out how to improve output and taken to fixing PHP code when emergency arose. Currently, Nipun is the Founder of Ria Insurance, where he is building tech and product for insurance. Previously, he founded BuildingBlox India, a tech-enabled design and renovations company, and RoomStory.com, an online home store serving the Indian market. At both companies, Nipun spearheaded the tech and product journey, while running PnL and delivering business growth through strategy and marketing. Nipun holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he studied Entrepreneurship & Management, and a High School degree in Computer Science from St. Columbas. He has a strong tech stack, including PHP, Senior Software Engineer, Research Scientist, and Computer Vision. In addition to his professional achievements, Nipun has been an advisor to SEWA Bharat, served as the VP of the MIT Club of Delhi, and spoken at multiple conferences.
