Niraj Kumar is a Vice President and Research Lead for EMEA at JP Morgan Chase & Co, where he specializes in quantum computing research. His expertise lies in building quantum algorithms for various applications, ranging from finance to more fundamental quantum problems, and understanding the impact of noise on their implementation. Prior to his current role, Niraj worked as a Senior Quantum Algorithms Developer at PASQAL and Qu&Co, where he developed both quantum and classical algorithms. He also served as a Senior Post-Doctoral Researcher at the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. Niraj's research interests include quantum machine learning, verification of quantum devices, and secure communications. He actively works in the field of quantum computing and is passionate about developing algorithms that can solve complex problems. Niraj holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Quantum Information from Télécom Paris and an Integrated Bachelor's and Master's degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
