Canopy is an app-based discovery platform for individuals. It provides personalized discovery using machine learning algorithm and helps to discover personal preferences based on songs played, places explored, articles read etc on the phone. The app-based platform sends news, music recommendations, stories, updates etc to users.

During my tenure as a Senior Frontend Engineer, I:

- Designed and implemented automated deployment strategies for enterprise-level, white-labeled applications on AWS Cloud, streamlining operations and deployment processes.
- Developed an innovative Visualizer tool, enhancing the user experience for Canopy customers and supporting the aggregation of nearly US$5bn in assets.

As the Lead DevOps Engineer, I spearheaded the architectural design and optimization of cloud solutions, supporting Canopy's vision to become a tech unicorn in the private wealth market. Noteworthy achievements include:

- Leading the design and management of cloud infrastructure across multiple regions and AWS accounts, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Collaborating closely with the CTO to align infrastructure evolution with strategic objectives, significantly contributing to the company's growth and scalability.
- Implementing cost-effective AWS Cloud resource optimization strategies, balancing performance and expenditure.
- Overseeing key infrastructure milestones such as transitioning from legacy applications to containerized deployments and serverless Kubernetes workloads, enhancing scalability and agility.
- Pioneering the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, streamlining the deployment and management of application-specific resources and organization-wide infrastructure policies.

In my initial role at Canopy, I played a key role in designing automated deployment strategies and developing user-centric solutions, contributing to the foundational growth of Canopy's platform and customer base.

- Development of new features in the server & frontend.
- Played a significant role in setting the technical direction for the server & frontend projects.
- Triage & fixing of issues reported on the open event GitHub repositories.

FOSSASIA develops Open Source software and hardware solutions with a global developer community from its base in Asia and organizes Open Technology events around the year. The organization also runs coding programs and development contests.

The annual FOSSASIA Summit is the premier Open Technology event in Asia for developers, start-ups, and contributors. It is a unique opportunity to share knowledge and experience about Open Source and meet interesting contributors.
