Nirmalya Basu is a skilled and experienced member with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. Nirmalya is a Mitacs GRI'22 at MacEwan, and an IASc-INSA-NASI Summer Research Fellow 2021. Nirmalya's expertise lies in non-profit organizations, Microsoft Word, communication, event management, and international relations. He is a strong operations professional and currently serves as the Overall Coordinator at the Naresh Vashisht Centre for Tinkering and Innovation. Previously, he worked as a Promotional Facilitator at the same organization, where he was responsible for increasing awareness about various events, running campaigns and brand recapturing exercises, facilitating planning and organization of various events, and providing on-ground support for organization and management of workshops and competitions on the campus throughout the year. Nirmalya also worked as a Summer Research Fellow under Indian Academy of Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He was offered the IASc-INSA-NASI Summer Research Fellowship 2021 and worked with Dr. Shivam Tripathi for two months during the summer. Nirmalya's educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. He completed his schooling from Sacred Heart School and St. Xavier's High School, Nagpur, and his Class 10+2 from D.A.V. Model School, IIT Kharagpur. Nirmalya has relevant experience of 0.61 years and possesses skills in research scientist. He is a dedicated and hardworking individual with a passion for non-profit organizations and event management, and is always looking for new challenges to enhance his skills and knowledge.
