Nishant Gupta is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer at PhonePe with over 7 years of relevant experience in the industry. He has a strong background in computer science and engineering, having completed his education at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT). Currently, Nishant is working at PhonePe, where he is responsible for various backend pieces for the PhonePe-AA track. He is also a part of the Growth team, where he has designed and implemented an In House Ad-Serving framework from scratch. Nishant has also played a key role in designing, implementing, and operationalizing a major revamp in the Rewards and Offers Platform. He has built and launched the Rewards backend system with different types of incentives, such as cashback, coupons, etc. Additionally, Nishant has designed a major revamp on the Referral Framework and implemented the User Journey Tracking framework. Prior to his current role, Nishant worked as a Software Engineer at PhonePe, where he worked in the Recharge - Billpay ecosystem, Digital Gold platform, and launched multiple category payments, such as Broadband, Electricity, etc. He built the Billpay reminders feature from scratch and worked on the AutoPay feature in the BillPay category. Nishant also worked on multiple integrations with different Aggregators and the BBPS stack and streamlined the backend for Digital Gold offerings. Nishant's technical skills include Software Engineering, Backend, Android, and Frontend.
