Nishant Gupta is a seasoned business leader with over 14 years of experience across various industries and functions. For the past decade, he has been focused on the consumer internet industry and has played a crucial role in setting up and scaling businesses through deep collaboration with different teams. Currently, Nishant is the Business Unit Head - Consumables, General Merchandise & Home at Flipkart, where he is responsible for the P&L of the fastest-growing business unit. He oversees the FMCG, personal care, beauty, medical supplies, babycare, sports and fitness, auto accessories, toys and stationery, books and musical instruments, kitchen and gardening, furnishing, decor, tools, and furniture categories. In his previous role as Head of Flipkart Marketplace, Nishant managed the topline and bottom line of the marketplace business, led seller acquisition, on-boarding, and seller relationship/account management, grew the selection/product portfolio across categories, managed seller support operations, and improved product quality of products being sold by sellers. He also served as Director of Large Appliances, where he was responsible for sales and marketing of large appliances, head of marketplace for large appliances, and SnOP. Nishant's cross-functional experience includes business development, operations, marketing, planning, and category management, with P&L responsibility for categories such as large appliances, home furnishing and decor, general merchandise, health and beauty, toys, sports and fitness, books, and more. He has set up and managed various teams across functions and categories, ranging from 5-100+ members, including hiring on and off campuses across the country. Nishant holds an MBA in International Business from IIFT and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Hanken Svenska handelshögskolan. He also has a BE in Computer Engineering from DTU.
