Nishant Patel is a final year Information Technology student at L.D. College of Engineering with a passion for software engineering and competitive programming. With a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms, Nishant has honed his skills as a Full-stack developer, having worked extensively with MEAN and MERN technologies. Nishant's technical expertise is complemented by his excellent soft skills, including time management and priority scheduling. He also has a unique hobby of origami, which showcases his creativity and attention to detail. Currently, Nishant is a Google Summer of Code Student Developer at Rocket.Chat, where he is working on implementing the ability to forward messages to another channel, thread, or discussion. This project aims to improve the user's experience and productivity by enabling features such as forwarding messages and files to multiple users and rooms, adding text formatting in the optional message field, and providing a preview of the message before sharing it. Prior to this, Nishant gained practical experience working as a Software Engineer at CogniSaaS, where he was responsible for creating a customer portal for SaaS enterprise companies' clients, handling file systems with integrating Amazon S3, and connecting with JIRA Rest API. He also worked as a Frontend Developer at Digital Register, where he created the entire Digital Register website, an expense report generator tool, and migrated Vanilla frontend to React frontend. Nishant's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from L.D. College of Engineering, which he is set to complete in June 2022. His tech stack includes Software Engineering, Frontend, and AngularJS, and he has relevant experience of 1.37 years. With his technical skills, soft skills, and passion for learning, Nishant is poised to make a significant impact in the software engineering industry.
