Nishi Mehta is an upcoming Data Science intern at Walmart and a Masters student in Information Systems at the University of San Francisco. With a background in Computer Engineering, she pursued her Masters in Machine Learning from DAIICT. Nishi is passionate about leveraging her knowledge to help businesses make sound data-driven decisions. She is interested in connecting businesses with data and has a keen eye for identifying patterns and trends. Currently, Nishi is working as a Data Science Intern at the University of California, San Francisco Hospital Medicine. Prior to this, she worked as a Data Analyst at Quinbay, where she explored machine learning algorithms for the recommendation system of BliBli.com. She developed an algorithm from scratch for the product recommendation system of BliBli.com by analyzing the data pattern. Nishi also contributed to the process of automating the attribute extraction for a few of the categories and evaluated parameters to understand the performance of different promotions. Before Quinbay, Nishi worked as a Software Engineer at Coviam. She used Redshift as Data Warehouse, Amazon Glue for loading the data to Redshift, and Amazon QuickSight for Visualization. She also contributed to the Proof-of-Concept of the BI stack (Hadoop, Apache Kafka, Apache Drill, Apache Superset) and developed a dashboard for one of the products that shows the total number of interactions, users, usage of the chatbot, and performance of the chatbot with the help of Apache Superset. Nishi has a strong educational background with a Masters in Information Systems and a Masters in Data Science from the University of San Francisco. She also holds an MTECH in Machine Learning from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from L.J. Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ahmedabad.
