Nishu Jain is an experienced Software Development Engineer with over 5 years of relevant experience. He is a Computer Science graduate from NIT Jaipur, India Batch of 2017. Currently, he is working in the Adserver Team of Yahoo as a Software Development Engineer II, where he is responsible for backend development of features to serve ads better, defect resolution, maintenance of the system, designing the code, etc. He has worked on major projects like calculating the success rate of a video ad, finding the viewability ratio for a site which helps to gauge how users are engaging with the sites, and many more. As part of this, he has learned about OpenRTB standards and how advertising works, especially for video ads. Prior to Yahoo, Nishu worked for an IoT-based smart home startup Cubical Laboratories, where he developed code to support notifications and activity logs for security appliances like motion sensors and digital locks. He has also worked in the Daily Risk Reporting team of HSBC India, where he developed the CICD pipeline for the team. As a summer intern, he worked for Wipro digital to develop an Android App that captures sensor data and sends out notifications if any sensor emits data beyond the set threshold. Nishu has a strong technical background and is proficient in programming languages like Java, C++, C, and Python. He has experience working with web technologies like HTML, CSS, PHP, and cloud platforms like GCP and AWS. He is skilled in databases like MySQL and BigQuery and has experience working with operating systems like Windows and Linux. He is proficient in using IDEs like IntelliJ, Eclipse, DBVisualiser, and MySQL Workbench. Nishu has a strong online presence and actively participates in various coding challenges on platforms like HackerEarth and HackerRank. He has also contributed to open-source projects on GitHub.
