Nithin Venkatesh is a dynamic and curious software engineer with a passion for building large-scale systems. Currently working as a Software Engineer at Rockset, Nithin has gained over 4 years of experience in the field of software engineering, research, and machine learning. Prior to joining Rockset, Nithin served as a Research Assistant at ADSL, University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he contributed to various research projects. He also worked as a Graduate Student Intern at Dell, where he prototyped an end-to-end generic and reusable machine learning pipeline on Dell infrastructure. Nithin's work at Dell involved using open-source software such as Kubernetes, Kubeflow, and KFServing. He built the pipeline for the visual question answering use case, where users can upload an image to the system and ask questions about the image in natural language. He was offered an SDE 2 position for his outstanding work. Nithin holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was awarded a departmental scholarship. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur. Nithin's technical skills include software engineering, research, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and infrastructure. He is proficient in various technologies and tools such as Kubernetes, Python, Java, C++, and SQL.
