Nitin Babel is a young and dynamic entrepreneur who has been recognized as one of the Forbes Asia 30 under 30. He is a young alumni achiever from IIT Kharagpur and the co-founder of Niki.ai and Lokal. Currently, Nitin holds the position of VP Operations at Lokal, a hyperlocal social media platform operating in 200+ districts in India. Nitin's passion for entrepreneurship led him to co-found Niki.ai, a full-stack Ramu Kaka service that caters to the needs of 150 million Bharat households. Niki.ai is backed by fintech-focused venture capital firms like EMVC and Unilazer Ventures, along with Mr. Ratan Tata, Japan’s Recruit Partners, and Haresh Chawla among others. Nitin's mission with Niki.ai is to unlock 20% of the market by 2022 and be in service of 150 million Bharat households. Before co-founding Niki.ai, Nitin worked as an analyst at Ipsos, where he was awarded as the Best Employee at the company's Annual Business Meet in June'14. With a relevant experience of 12.11 years, Nitin has gained expertise in senior software engineering and AI. Nitin's education history includes a senior secondary degree in PCM from Bhupal Nobles School and a higher secondary degree from Central Academy Senior Secondary School, Udaipur. Nitin's vision is to digitalize all the use cases that exist on local newspapers for new to internet Indian users, thereby boosting the local economy.
