Nitin Choudhary is a highly skilled MTS-3 at Cohesity with a passion for solving complex problems using cutting-edge technologies. He holds a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computing from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. With 2.79 years of relevant experience, Nitin has worked on various projects that demonstrate his expertise in software engineering, Golang, Pytorch, and research science. In his current role at Cohesity, Nitin has worked on the problem of Layout Understanding of documents, specifically with Restaurant Menus as the dataset, in order to translate it. He has formulated the problem as a Graph classification and segmentation, using GraphCRF and custom Edge-conditioned convolution to achieve the desired results. Nitin has used PyTorch Geometric to create custom message-passing and solve the problem of simultaneous classification and segmentation of a graph. Prior to joining Cohesity, Nitin worked as a Visiting Researcher at Naver Labs Europe, where he focused on the problem of Layout Understanding of documents, with Restaurant Menus as the dataset, and formulated the problem as a Graph classification and segmentation. He used PyTorch Geometric to create custom message-passing and solve the problem of simultaneous classification and segmentation of a graph. Nitin also worked as a Summer Research Intern at the University of Alberta, where he built a predictive model to detect Schizophrenia among patients from brain's 4D fMRI scans giving over 87% accuracy. He worked closely with medical teams to decide upon the feature extraction process and choice of brain parcellations. Nitin created an ensemble model to incorporate the feature knowledge from all the parcellations, in addition to applying 3D convolutions on ReHO data of fMRI scans. In addition to his technical skills, Nitin possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills, as evidenced by his collaborative work with medical teams at the University of Alberta.
