Nitin Gupta is a seasoned Sr Software Development Manager with over 19 years of experience in developing and delivering products and platforms across Big-Data, Cloud (Private/Public), and Analytics (Machine Learning And Artificial Intelligence). He has successfully led product teams from product conceptualization to design, launch, and scale-up. Nitin possesses good leadership skills and has worked with startups as well as big Enterprises with matrix organization structures. Currently, Nitin is serving as the Director of Engineering at InMobi. Before joining InMobi, Nitin worked at Amadeus as a Sr Development Manager where he led the unit with Engineers, Architects, and Data scientists to build innovative products across the travel domain. He built Conversational Interfaces, parallel NLP Research, and worked on projects in Machine Learning like fare predictions and unsupervised learning problems. Nitin also has good exposure to Deep Learning with models built across Text Analysis and computer vision. He delivered talks on AI and ML. At Amadeus, Nitin also delivered a Big Data Analytics Platform (PaaS) built ground-up from Bare metal machines on private cloud and scaled up to production. He worked across all areas possible when developing a production-grade big-data clusters, namely Build and job Pipelines, CI/CD, Platform Security, Networking, Infrastructural and Application Monitoring, Automation, Performance Optimizations, Post-Production Operations and Maintenance, and various other Non-functional Requirements (NFRs). Nitin also worked on Big-Data Analysis - Batch and Streaming analysis, Stacks - Cloudera (Hadoop Ecosystem, Spark, Kafka), Datastax (Cassandra), Data Lake Architecture, and Amadeus Schedule recovery: Operations Research (OR) Focused Amadeus product helping airlines react quickly and efficiently to disruptions to their operations caused by events such as bad weather or air traffic control congestion. Nitin has a B.Tech in Electronics and Communications from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. He also has research experience from Fraunhofer IPSI, Germany, and CWI Amsterdam.
