Nitin Jain is a Technical Specialist in R&D at Nokia Solutions and Networks with 8 years of experience in wireless and protocol engineering. He has made diverse contributions in 5G/4G UE modem verification, log analysis, Open RAN/gNodeB/eNodeB protocols, and operator acceptance for both UE modem and network side. Nitin has worked with operators, OEMs/ODMs, chipset, network, and simulator vendors in the wireless and telecom domain. Nitin's experience ranges from modem/chipset (Qualcomm) to smartphone devices (Intex) to 4G mobile network operator (Reliance Jio) to Open RAN eNodeB-4G/gNodeB-5G network infra vendor (Altiostar). He has excellent LTE and 5G-NR protocol testing experience with log analysis on base station like eNodeB/gNodeB macro cell (network side) and Qualcomm, Mediatek, Exynos, and Spreadtrum modem (UE side). Nitin has hands-on experience on 5G, SDN, NFV, Kubernetes, containerization, and Open RAN architecture with real network nodes i.e. ODU, OCU, ORU (5G Macro Cell), vCU, vDU, and RIU (4G Macro Cell). Nitin has good understanding and experience in NAS and AS of LTE protocol stack (PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC) and OSI layers and TCP/IP data protocols: TCP, UDP, SCTP, IP(version: IPv4 & IPv6), FTP, ICMP. He has experience working closely with OEMs/ODMs, chipset vendors to support wireless operators (Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea) to technology trials, perform lab, field, and IOT testing of the latest features. Nitin has good experience in cellular protocol stack testing of premium OEMs i.e. Apple, Oneplus, Samsung, Nokia, Xiaomi, Blackberry, Vivo, and Oppo. He has good exposure in virtual networks like Agilent, Anritsu, R&S, and Qualcomm proprietary simulators.
