Nitin Kaulavkar is a highly experienced Director of Engineering with over 30 years of experience in the technology industry. Currently working at Walmart Global Tech in India, Nitin is responsible for building and managing one of the foundational capabilities for Walmart to gather, process, and provide competitive insights to remain competitive in the omni-channel retail business in the US and international markets. Nitin's team employs massive scale software and machine learning engineering capabilities to gain an edge in the industry. Nitin has a proven track record of leading and building passionate teams of engineers, architects, and product owners to build products that make a positive business impact for Walmart every day. He is proud to be working on the core technologies enabling 'Everyday low prices on a broad assortment - anytime, anywhere' for Walmart. Prior to his current role, Nitin was the Director of Engineering for Walmart Cloud Platform, where he led a brilliant set of product and engineering teams and was responsible for developing cloud computing offerings for Walmart and enabling secure consumption of various private and public cloud offerings for business agility. Nitin has also built Walmart-scale omnichannel full-stack Customer Experience Products for the past three years for omnichannel shopping worldwide. Nitin's educational background includes an M Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, a PGDST in PG Software Technology from the National Center for Software Technology (NCST) Bombay, and a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from D. Y. Patil College of Engineering & Technology, Kasaba Bawada.
