Nitin Misra is a seasoned business leader with over 23 years of experience in the technology and financial services industry. As the Co-founder of indiagold, he is responsible for building the technology infrastructure that enables the efficient monetization of India's large private gold reserves. Prior to indiagold, Nitin held senior leadership positions at Paytm and Samsung. At Paytm, he served as the Senior Vice President and Business Head, where he was responsible for building the consumer lending business ground up, including Paytm Postpaid, India's largest Pay-it-Later/Checkout Credit business. He also led the development of Paytm's Machine Learning-based proprietary Credit Score that enabled 100% Algorithmic Lending for New to Credit & Existing to Credit customers. Nitin was also the Business Head for Digital Gold, where he grew the business to command ~70% market share and launched automated Gold Savings & Gifting products. Additionally, he built the Hotels OTA business with the largest domestic inventory of over 74,000 Domestic & 3 million international hotels & alternate accommodations. Nitin was instrumental in changing the retail/offline payments landscape in India through QR code payments and built the merchant on-boarding platform and operations center that took payment acceptance to several million merchants. Before Paytm, Nitin served as the GM - Content & Services, India at Samsung, where he led the Content & Apps Sourcing, Brand Partnerships, Developer Relations & building the Tizen Store ground up for the world's 1st Tizen Mobile phone - Samsung Z1. Nitin's expertise lies in business strategy, sales, operations, and technology. He is well-versed in Ruby, ML, and Mobile technologies.
