Nitish Goel is a GPU Design Engineer at Apple with a passion for computer architecture design. He holds a Master of Science degree in Integrated Circuits and VLSI from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. Nitish has 4.69 years of relevant experience in the field of computer architecture design. During his Summer 2020 Internship in the GPU Design Team at Apple, Nitish worked on GPU Memory BFM designs based on SystemVerilog and UVM. He has also worked on the RTL design of a 32-bit RISC-V Out-of-Order Superscalar MIPS-based processor from scratch, which was written in SystemVerilog and synthesized with a final clock of 13.2 ns. Nitish's work also includes projects on GPU Accelerated DNA Sequencing, VLSI design of a 2-stage microprocessor in 130 nm CMOS technology, CUDA-based applications, and many small RTL block designs in Verilog. Apart from computer architecture design, Nitish has also worked on the design of PCIe and SATA Verification IP Bus Functional Models. The models were verified and validated using UVM and SystemVerilog based testbench architecture. Nitish has worked extensively on the creation of design checks, coverage points, and functional test suits. He has also worked on customer support for SATA Verification IP, handling all the required enhancements and updates. In addition to his technical skills, Nitish has a basic idea of Computer Vision based on OpenCV and Web Designing using PHP frameworks. He is hardworking, a quick learner, and passionate about anything related to Electronics and Coding. Nitish is always seeking opportunities to explore new areas that are beneficial for him and also through which he can contribute to society. He strives to complete the tasks and responsibilities endowed to him by his mentors and peers.
