Nitish Sakhawalkar is a highly skilled Software Engineer currently working at Apple. With over 9 years of relevant experience, he has a passion for building highly reliable and scalable software from scratch. Nitish has played a significant role in building the Ericsson Mediafirst TVX cross-platform app library that works on devices ranging from traditional TV Set Top Boxes to Android, iOS, and desktop platforms. He has also been a core maintainer for the Electron Open Source Project based on Chromium C++, where he has participated in upgrading Chromium versions for the Electron framework, building new APIs, and bringing Slack Desktop App to the latest Electron. Nitish has a proven track record of fixing Slack-specific issues in Electron and working on features like spellchecker within Electron. Nitish's experience in working with preexisting large code bases like the Chromium/v8 code base has made him an expert in overcoming a multitude of challenges.
