Noah Lekas is a highly experienced Data Engineer and Python Developer with over 11 years of experience in developing custom solutions and applications to enhance the performance of core enterprise systems. He has architected globally distributed information systems as a Data Operations Engineer to achieve data availability, scalability, and reliability. Currently, Noah works as a Data Operations Engineer at Expeditors, where he has successfully built and managed scalable, globally distributed ocean freight information systems, including interface development, data pipelines, and web scrapers. He has established a single enterprise-wide global cargo tracking system and enhanced it to efficiently track ocean cargo vessels and containers, including inland container tracking. Additionally, Noah has created and developed an algorithm that predicts with a 98% accuracy when ocean cargo will arrive at its destination in the toughest shipping markets. He has also strengthened analytics capabilities into corporate and client behavior by creating ETL processes, complex queries, data analysis scripts, and user interfaces for complex data ecosystems. Prior to his current role, Noah worked as an Assembly & Inventory Specialist at US Hose and Coupling, where he received, cut, and assembled thousands of feet of industrial hose daily for multiple clients. He also gained knowledge in hose manufacturing, logistics, and workflow design. He has also worked as an Assistant Publisher at Green Building Chronicle, where he performed journalistic duties including article research, interviews, writing, photography, and videography. He developed social media campaigns, including the Green Building Gram newsletter, Facebook, Tumblr, and Reddit, and applied his skills in HTML, CSS, and SQL to maintain the Wordpress site. Noah holds a degree in Communication with a field of study in Organizational Communication from Kennesaw State University.
