He has worked as an Analytics Specialist at Opera Solutions, where he was responsible for re-designing predictive models to improve forecast accuracy and generating more profitable schedules for a leading cinema chain in Europe. Novnit's contributions include delivering a solution to forecast the demand of movies based on the performance in prior week(s) using an ensemble of models, which led to significant improvements in forecast accuracy and run time of the demand forecasting engine. Novnit has also worked as a Visiting Research Scholar at Virginia Tech, where he identified the scope of professional development courses in India and devised a robust strategy for VT to introduce relevant technical courses based on demand.
