Obikaonu Samuel is a highly motivated and ambitious Software Engineer with excellent interpersonal skills. He performs best in a community with the culture of innovation and has a good team spirit. With 4.11 years of relevant experience, Obikaonu has developed a well-rounded skill set that includes Java, Spring Frameworks, JavaScript, React, MySQL, Postgresql, Kubernetes, and Azure. He is result-oriented, focused, and has a well-developed entrepreneurial spirit. Currently working as a Software Engineer at Sastrify, Obikaonu has previously worked as a Volunteer Mentor at Andela, where he mentored young and ambitious software developers into world-class engineers. He also worked as an MLH Fellow at Major League Hacking, where he worked closely with Amazon Engineers to contribute to Amplify. During the course of the fellowship, Obikaonu participated in two Hackathons and built two projects: IssuesOverflow and FellowSession. IssuesOverflow is an open-source application that provides all open issues from different open-source projects that users can contribute to. The application was built with the aim of enabling new software engineers to take their first steps into the world of open source. FellowSession allows people who are interested in joining MLH Fellowship to have access to the session that the fellowship organizes. Obikaonu holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, where he completed his degree in 2017. He also attended Government Secondary School Owerri from 2006 to 2012. Obikaonu's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Java, Kubernetes, Javascript, MySQL, Spring, and Azure.
