Olalekan Akinsande is a highly skilled and results-driven professional with extensive experience in data analytics, software engineering, business intelligence (BI), robotics process automation (RPA), academic and social research, and project/program management. He currently works at Mastercard Foundation as a Data Scientist, where he implements advanced analytics use cases to accelerate the Foundation's goals and vision. Olalekan is passionate about data and analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and intelligent automation (IA) and research for business and social good. He is zealous about delivering high-impact value in education, financial inclusion, power and utilities, agriculture, healthcare, risks and assurance, FMCG, global development, and governance. Olalekan is an award-winning data scientist and AI engineer (AIE) with expertise in developing, deploying, and managing end-to-end data analytics, automation, and digital transformation solutions. He has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Global Voices in Tech, AI, Automation, Data & Analytics for 2030. Olalekan has a track record of leading successful projects, including the EKO360 Data Warehouse and Analytics project in partnership with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and an AI-powered project monitoring and evaluation solution developed for The World Bank. Olalekan has also led a social impact team responsible for developing Africa's artificial intelligence ecosystem through bespoke data science and artificial intelligence training curriculum and content. He has delivered Africa's biggest artificial intelligence (AI) Bootcamp in 2020 and 2021, which recorded over 10,000 registered participants across 30 countries. Olalekan's past experiences include working as a Technical and Consulting Lead at DSN - Data Scientists Network/Data Science Nigeria and as a Data Scientist at KPMG Nigeria. Olalekan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Professional Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM). He also has a degree in Scientific Computing and Python for Data Science from World Quant University and is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science with Data Analytics from the University of York.
