Oleg Baranovskiy is a highly experienced Competence Lead at DataRobot with expertise in service-oriented back-end development. With over 14 years of relevant experience, Oleg has built scalable asynchronous web servers with REST and web-sockets and has led teams in requirements clarification, task assignment, code review, and architecture design. Oleg is particularly interested in machine learning and artificial intelligence and has a strong command over various programming languages, web frameworks, graph databases, SQL and No-SQL databases, network protocols, NLP libraries, and mathematical libraries. At DataRobot, Oleg has been one of the main inventors of the COVID-19 predictions model, which has helped fight the pandemic in 2020/2021. His previous work experience includes being the Tech Lead of the geo-location team at Delivery Hero, where he developed efficient algorithms for computing driving areas reachable under time limits. He also worked as a Team Lead of the linguistic team at LevelUp Games, where he led R&D in natural language processing, classification, morphological, and syntax analysis. Oleg completed his Master's degree in Electronics and Programming from the National Technical University of Ukraine 'Kyiv Polytechnic Institute' in 2008.
